BIOGRAPHY

Alesia Pratt’s interests lie in horror movies and how people react to them, dark colors and themes in said movies, artwork and literature, and the meticulous processes that other artists use when it comes to creating their work. She applies all of these influences into the creation of her work. Alesia uses pen, ink, and watercolor to create dark and unsettling atmospheres because she loves to gauge the many reactions of her viewers. The type of reaction that the viewer has is less important than the viewer having a reaction. Her work has been featured in the Arender Gallery, Monroe LA in 2009 and the Enterprise Center, Ruston LA in 2009.

Alesia Pratt was born in Oakland, California in 1986 and moved to Bastrop, Louisiana ten years later. In 2009 she received her BFA from Louisiana Tech University. Currently Pratt continues to produce work by drawing experiences from her childhood.
